Top 5 Tuesday – Top 5 Books with Creatures on the Cover

Happy Tuesday and that means time for another Top 5 Tuesday. Top 5 Tuesday was created by Shanah at the Bionic Book Worm and is now hosted by Meeghan at the Meeghan Reads.

This week’s topic is: Top 5 Books with Creatures on the Cover. And I have spent way more time working on finding books for this post than I should have and still didn’t find the book I had in mind, but I still had a lot of fun picking my books. So I had a way more books that I have read to choose from than last week’s topic, and I have settled on one book that I am currently reading, a few favorites and one that I just found in my search for the illusive cover, with a nice variety of creatures, though I do wish I had managed to get a few more cats in the mix they are my favorite.

Crown of Feathers1. Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto

One of my current reads and yes I definitely picked it up because of that cover, and If I had to pick best cover design of these book this one gets my vote hands down. I have been enjoying it a fair amount though it is taking me quite a while to get through it.

2. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling

I really could have chosen almost any Harry but I chose 3 because it is one of my favorite books and I really like the cover design on this book.

Cleopatra3. Cleopatra VII: Daughter of the Nile (The Royal Diaries) by Kristiana Gegory

I really enjoyed this book when I was younger, I have read it at least twice, probably more than that. I have read most of the series and could have picked a few of these but this one has always been one of my favorite books and my favorite cover. Also, I just had to choose this one because I mean you might expect a horse for a book about a princess but who else gets a big cat.

Masques4. Masques by Patricia Briggs

I read this book years ago now and I remember enjoying it quite a bit, though I have yet to get my hands on the later books in the series. And in case you were curious it is a werwolf not just a big dog or normal wolf, which I remember it taking me a while to get when I read it.

5. The Dog Sitter by Zara Stoneley

The Dog Sitter

So, I have been searching for a book cover that I vividly remember seeing somewhere (I am thinking it was on Bookstagram) with the colorful illustrated covers that are all the rage for contemporary romance novels right now and it was two people passing each other and getting caught in a dog’s leash and the thing that bugged me about it was the leash looked like it was not obeying the laws of physics which is why I remember it, but for the life of my I have not been able to find the book I had seen. I had connected it with Sarah Morgenthaler’s Moose Springs series (which has a cute dog too) but no sign of this cover anywhere. So, I have spent way more time than I would care to admit searching for it but no luck so far, if you have any ideas I would love to hear it. But what I did find, while searching google images in vain, was this gem of a cover, same idea and I like this one even better.

Happy Reading Everyone!
